prof. Ramm is an absolute doll. She goes out of her way to do individual student conferences and really gets to know the writing style of every student, therefore she's able to really fine-tune every student's papers. She does have a lot of reading, but she chooses some really fascinating books. I'd definitely recommed her a million times :) |

I failed English 097 in 2004, then examed into English 111, I dislike english and I am not very great at it, but was still able to get an A-. just do the work sheets(journals and such) I thought she was an simple grader, gives many examples of what she is expecting. very accommodatingl if you have any questions. I would take her class again! |

Joan Ramm's teaching style involves a heavy workload. She teaches newswriting exceptionally well. I came into the class arrogant, and I am leaving satisfied that I have become a better writer and student overall |

Great Teacher. In the beginning you read The Glass Castle which is a really great book. Then there's a lot of paper writing, you do about 4 or 5. I also missed a lot of class and was still able to pass with a B+ although I do recommend going to school more than I did just so you don't get behind. |
