Feb. 12 at Wayne, Delta won 93-64
Taylor Mantyla tied Delta’s record for most points scored in a game, which is 40 points. Mantyla also led the game with the most field goals. Mantyla and Danielle Warner had the most rebounds with 14 each.
“Mantyla tied the schools record with 40 points and We did good overall,” said head coach Kelly Miller
Feb. 15 at St. Clair, Delta lost 71-69
Taylor Mantyla lead the game with 20 points and Champagne Arthur followed close by with 17 points. Sheyna Deans and Whitley Currie led the St. Clair team with points at 15 each. Ta’Kira Height from the St. Clair team led the game in offensive rebounds at 11.
“ St.Clair is eighth in the region and beat us by 41 points. It was great to tie with 10 seconds on the clock. It was a great game,” Miller said. “Our goal is to win and prepare for conference play.”
Feb. 19 at Oakland, Delta won 91-74
Dy’Mond Perry scored 30 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Taylor Mantyla scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Lady Pioneers cruised to an away game victory over the Oakland Community College Raiders.
Each team shot 60 percent from the free throw line. The game was evenly matched as Delta led 33-29 at intermission. As a team Delta outrebounded Oakland 52-45. The Pioneers improved to 13-3 in the conference and 21-5 overall.
