I have enjoyed tutoring students since I was a student at Ferris State University. I would often volunteer to assist fellow students with understanding new concepts in algebra, trigonometry or calculus. It was often very rewarding when they finally understood and developed confidence in their own abilities. I never thought of helping other students as work but as something that was fun and incredibly rewarding.
