I am currently in my 4th year of teaching. I have taught both 1st and 2nd grades in a self-contained setting. Before beginning my teaching career, I served as a member of Americorps as a reading and literacy tutor in Washington DC and the surrounding metro areas. I helped students in grades K-3 close the achievement gap in reading, and read on grade level.
