I have been an instructor from k through higher education for 30 years. I hold a joint doctoral degree in anthropology and social work from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I use transformative or popular pedagogical approaches to teach my students the skills they desire by focusing on their own interests and important topics in their local and global context. My students have gone on to receive top statewide awards and have reached honors levels in their classes.
