chill guy who enjoys his subject. The class is really simple if you actually attend.
All i can say is terrible. He seems to be a friendly guy. But the class is really difficult, unless you are completely into government issues and C-Span do not take this class with petersen!!
Great teacher. He's very enthusiastic about what he teaches. Only a few exams and papers throughout, but if you are actually paying attention, you'll do just fine. He's fun to listen to. His class was one of my favorites, even though it wasn't even in my career field. Strongly recommend him for any Pol Sci class.
If you take him for political science he is average. He showed up 10 mins late every class period and blamed it on the last class he taught. There are only 3 projects and 3 exams and that is all your grade is based on. It's VERY difficult to catch up if you do badly one just one assignment or exam.
Great teacher. He is SUPER enthusiastic about the subject matter which makes for a better teacher. Not always as hillarious as he thinks he is, but he tries. I like him a lot. All you have to do is right down your notes, read the handouts, and pay attention in class.
Neat guy | |
Great prof.! It was a relief to take a class with a prof. who didn't force his personal views on students and taught the course objectively, which is great for government! He will argue both sides and you won't know if he's dem or rep. Learned alot! Highly recommend Petersen.
He's a chill, hillarious guy and knows the material very well but there was on 100 points for the entire semester. I don't know if he's lazy and doesn't want to grade many papers but this is pretty ridiculous. If he would make the semester have more points he would be one of the great prof. out there.
He know his subject and the same he is expecting from the students. He is very enthusiastic in politics.Too Much.He is overdoing many staff with only 6 grades to score the students.
Petersen is a very great teacher and knows his things. Always in a great mood and loves what he does, very knowledgable. Makes class fascinating and fun! He doesn't give out much HW either, just readings which are simple and a couple papers. One of the great profs I've ever had! If you read the material and do the work you'll get an A
he is very random. but i passed with a B without studying. take notes show up and listen. dont blow off writing projects
bad teacher he only gives 3 exams and about 3 papers...no other way to catch up if you happen to do bad on one exam
The first day of class he told us that no one would pass with an A. He said he rarely gives out A's and he courses constantly without taking a breath. Not a great class to take if your looking for a great political science teacher don't take him.
Mr. Peterson is a friendly guy but his teaching style didn't help me learn. I read all materials too! Maybe, if he had us write down the notes than discuss it with us it would've been easier. Some people have difficulty & listening at the same time. Oh, & although I was somewhat confident on the exams....I was shocked to see a "F". He grades too difficult!!
Read the projects, show up, listen to the courses (I didn't study), do the one assignment (country report on any country you want) and you will do well. In other words, be an adult. |
