Men battle Oakland
Delta lost a hard fought battle against Oakland with a final score of 99-81 on Jan 20.
The game was closely matched in the second half with a rough start for the Pioneers. The Raiders lead at halftime 51-25. Delta made a comeback in the second period, and fell just short of a victory.
“Oakland is a good team with a lot of good players,” said Coach Griffin, “we were able to hold them to 99, once we started playing our style of basketball. The second half definitely showed more of who we are as a team, and we can’t wait to play like that in the next game.”
